About the Artist |

Danielle’s most
recent series of paintings reflect her passion for European landscapes and
gardens that grew from her life-long travels to Europe—including her favorite
towns in Provence, Italy, and Spain.
These highly textured impressionist style works are depicted with a
bright and dynamic palette, reflecting the intensely crisp light of the
Mediterranean. In contrast, the
meticulous detail and skillful use of shadow and light of Danielle’s earlier
still life paintings executed in the traditional Classical Realist style have
been inspired by her studies of great master paintings in museums during her
trips to Europe. With an
undergraduate degree in Philosophy and M.A. in International Affairs,
Danielle’s diverse career has led her from an expert commentator relating to
the Balkans on television and radio throughout the 1990s, to an entrepreneur
and lifestyle expert including custom organizing products she designs for the
home and garden, as well as an artist exhibiting and selling her art work
professionally since 2000. She is
represented by Discovery Galleries in the greater Washington, D.C. area, the
Weatherburn Gallery in Naples, Florida, and Renaissance Fine Art Gallery in Carmel,
California. |
